Crayons was established
to provide young children and their families with a
nurturing and stimulating environment. It is our hope
to develop a partnership with parents in providing appropriate
play experiences which contribute to the physical, social,
emotional, intellectual and aesthetic development of
the child.
All children are unique individuals whose experiences, abilities and needs are valued and respected. Crayons endeavors to be responsive to each individual by providing a caring atmosphere and a curriculum which fosters trust, autonomy, initiative and creativity.
Crayons welcomes children from 6 weeks to 6 years in age. There is no screening process to enroll, however, intake procedures are implemented to insure the program's ability to serve individual family needs. Parents provide their own transportation, however busing is available for the special needs population. Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech/Language, and Special Education Supports are available to those needing them. Nursing services are available for all children throughout the school day.
The cost of
enrollment varies from $29 - $47 per day and
$165 - $200 per week. Children with special
needs are placed in Crayons via their school
district and their Individualized Education
Program (IEP).
